Ever dreamed of getting a projector, creating the most awesome home movie theater? But then you started looking up projectors and then big TVs and all of sudden you just gave up on the project because you couldn’t decide. If that sounds like you or something that would happen to you, you should read this article.
Let’s start with a projector. There are a ton of different options out there, from cheap ones for your phone to expensive ones that cost as much as a luxury car. So how do you find out which one is right for you? It all depends on the quality you are looking for and the size of space you have. If you want high quality projectors, you're looking at a range of $4000 to well over $90,000. As for space, some projectors do require a good amount of length between the screen and the projector itself. Fun fact, this is known as the throw distance. So if you have a tiny room that is planned for this, a projector might not be the best option. On the other hand, if you have a large space with big walls a projector is a great option!
Now for the TV. The price point for a television can be quite the range depending on the size and the quality you are looking for. As for size, a TV is a great choice for smaller to medium size rooms. The reason being is because the space won’t allow for the distance needed by a higher quality projector to provide a large image. The only in between option is to use a short-throw projector, however that is a WHOLE different conversation both from a technology and aesthetics standpoint.
So with all that information, choose which option fits you and your home and get to enjoying all of the movies and shows you wish!
